To Have Safe Rides, Follow These Suggestions

Use a personal Pin for all rides
Always check the license plate number and ask for the drivers name BEFORE you get in the car and make sure it matches the name on your Uber App
If a driver refuses to take you to your destination, MAKE THEM CANCEL THE RIDE, NOT YOU!

Never give your personal pin to another person
Never give your name first.. ask for the drivers name
Never let a driver ask you where you are going before you get in the car! This is a violation of Uber terms. The driver is required to take you to your destination. If they do ask, just say "Home", "Work", or the best answer "I am going to the destination in your driver app!"
Always report any safety issues directly through your Uber App. Don't wait. Do it when it happens. Don't put the drivers feelings ahead of your safety!
Never let a driver tell you to pay cash for any reason!
Never let a driver take you where you do not want to go! Contact 911 or Uber help ASAP!
Never let a driver drop you off at an unsafe place or the wrong address! JUST UPDATE YOUR TRIP IN THE APP. YOU DO NOT NEED THE DRIVERS PERMISSION TO DO THIS!

Adding a Stop: You can always, and should, add a stop when you need the driver to stop the ride along your route.

Just go to the current ride in your app and and click the three dots on the upper right and click on the add stop.

This is the only way to ensure that Uber can track your ride for your safety!
